4 Prerequisites For a Healthy Life
If you want to change your health and quality of life, these prerequisites are for you.
1. Play YOUR movie. If you believe you aren’t on an ideal path for your future with health and quality of life and/or you have some fear towards it, I want you to picture what an ideal quality of life looks like for you. Maybe imagining a rock bottom moment is easier to picture. Either way, I want you to write or type it out. This will allow you to identify your motive to continue your life with a positive aim and you’ll have it for reference. Get as granular as you can.
2. Positioning. Distance yourself just a little bit away from your ego. Tell yourself you don’t know everything there is to know when it comes to nutrition and leave a space for openness. While you know your likes and dislikes, what digests well, and what you can afford- there are more components to nutrition than that.
3. Warm assertion. Establish then express your needs to the people around you because you are in a process of obtaining results for yourself.
What to say:
“I’ll be eating my prepped food today because:
“I don’t like decision fatigue”.
“I’m interested in optimal nutrition”
“It makes me feel energized”.
If at a restaurant, say:
“I’ll be ordering my favorite meal which will meet my nutrition needs, so I won’t be ordering drinks and appetizers”. Or, flip it.
“I’ll be having my favorite dinner tonight so for today’s lunch I’ll be having appetizers and a drink”.
This reflects that you care about yourself because you have a plan for your daily engagements. Instead of rudeness, burdening yourself, or lying, you’re being open about things you do and like.
4. Lab rat. Purchase and use a food scale for 1 week for everything that you eat while recording it in on paper. If you have a will to live that is practiced out by continuing to wake up each day, you will survive one week of education that can change the trajectory of your future by putting you onto a path with clarity. Here are a couple of links on how to use a food scale.
